The "social" apps on our smartphones often prevent us from meeting new people as they try to keep us glued to our phones. Wed rather get you out and meet people IRL than increase your screen time.

A community, not a "network": Because "network" also means that we often stay in the same group of people composed of school friends, work colleagues and family. New persons from the outside hardly have a chance to get through to us. And what if youre new to a city and dont know anybody?

Location based and time limited: When you post something it will be displayed for 24 hours to all users within a 6 miles range before it gets deleted. Since we want to bring you together with other people, everything in Nearnow is limited to the here and now. As a result the "right to be forgotten" is also firmly integrated. And dont worry: Other users never get to know the exact coordinates you posted from!
